State Bank & Trust is pleased to announce our partnership with GO DIRECT, a national campaign sponsored by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Federal Reserve Banks to encourage people who get Social Security and other federal benefit payments by check to switch to direct deposit.

Direct deposit is great for our customers. It’s the safest, easiest way for everyone, including senior citizens and people with disabilities, to get their federal benefits.

• It’s safer. Direct deposit eliminates the risk of stolen checks and forged signatures and helps protect you from identity theft.
• It’s easier. Payments go straight into your account, so you don’t have to leave the house to deposit a check.
• It gives you more control. Direct deposit is completely predictable – payments arrive at the same time each month, and you can access your money from virtually anywhere – so you have it when you need it most.
